Co-founded in 1957 by Errol Barrow the first Prime Minster of Barbados, The Barbados Cruising Club (BCC) is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to create a place for all people of Barbados to enjoy sailing, water sports and the beach. Its membership is open to all, and it is run by a committee of volunteers.

The Barbados Cruising Club and its bar and restaurant Skipper”s on the Beach is located at Pebbles Beach, Aquatic Gap, Carlisle Bay, St Michael. For more than 65 years, the BCC has successfully executed sailing events like the Barbados Sailing Week & the Round Barbados Race with the partnership of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), Mount Gay and other sponsors and supporters.

For the Barbados Sailing Week 2023, the BCC will be working in partnership with the Barbados Yacht Club, the Barbados Sailing Association (BSA) and the Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA).
