Youth Racing
Prepare to be inspired by the youngest and bravest sailors in the Junior Dinghy Regatta! Children aged 5 to 16 will compete in multiple categories, showcasing their developing skills and passion for sailing. The Green Fleet Regatta is particularly heartwarming to watch, as young sailors, ages 5 to 9, skipper their own boats, follow the rules of the water, and strive to cross the finish line—often for the very first time. Taking place close to shore, this event gives spectators an up-close view of these fearless young competitors. Sailing is not only a thrilling sport but also a fantastic way to introduce children to STEM concepts, as they learn about physics, wind dynamics, navigation, and critical thinking. A cheer from the crowd goes a long way in building their confidence and enthusiasm for this exciting journey!
